This project aims to test the possibility of building using a continuous casting technique in such a way that the overall section is changeable in response to architectural multiplicity.
Larger buildings with increasing complexity and variable programs need to break away from conventional linear organisation and must redefine the “extruded” plan, demanding a construction technique by which this may be implemented.
An unruffled system that is based around a clear set of rules -limitation of the radius in the section, individual rib permutations and openings in the structure - has been investigated. These could make each casting layer different, allowing for structural change and architectural variation.
