MOBILE OBJECT

DESIGN TEAM: CAMIEL WEIJENBERG

This project was an invitation from Nous London to develop a conceptual model that would fit in a 2.5m cube. Restricting the spatial object to a specific size borrows from the principles of jewelry design. The challenge was to create an object that could be experienced spatially and be intricate in detail.

The use of thin ply-wood allows the gentle formations of longitudinal ribs while the transverse ribs lock the object in place.
